How to practise self love and care.

Show up for yourself by developing and committing to a plan, such as dating yourself, girl’s day out, nightly journaling or simply just taking 15mins a day just for you.

Between job responsibilities, family obligations, and life’s ups and downs, we often don’t have enough time to build—much less maintain—a self love / self-care regime.

This includes engaging in meaningful activities that reduce stress, while promoting optimal health and well-being, creating a plan is a highly individualized endeavour.”

Be realistic about cost and time investment. Do what you can with what you have. Don’t be afraid to scale back or adjust as needed.” And don’t lose good to perfect. Even an egg white mask in the comfort of your own home can do wonders.

When engaging in any self-care activity, it’s important to be in the moment. Unplug, switch your phone off and relax.

An important part of self-care is being present in the moment and being mindful about how our body and mind are responding to daily responsibilities and how that impacts our productivity. This allows us to take a step back and take inventory of where we are overextending ourselves. Remember, anything that you can’t take a step away from, you’re a slave to.

Make the most of your limited free time. Take just two minutes out of your day to do something for yourself, light a candle, listen to music, take a walk, sit still, dance, stretch. Starting small can have a domino effect.

Or cosy up to a good read (we suggest self-help / self love books) even a few minutes a day can tally up to 100’s of new books annually and broaden your horizons.

Small routines like saying 5 I AM Affirmations in the mirror while you are doing our famous Wonder Woman Pose or journaling about your goals and intentions can set the pace.
